THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS…
A FEW WORDS TO MY (OF COURSE, FIRST…) 80 YEARS OF LIFE:
When I was a kid people in their sixties have been regarded as elder, those in their seventies as old and those over eighty or even ninety years have been rare-with an exception of some remote mountain villages.
In last twenty years this slowly changed and several among my elder colleagues, friends and my family members reached or surpassed ninety years. Approaching eighty years of life is a nice opportunity to make a kind of life analysis, looking back and, if possible, in the future.
I decided that this would be a right moment to finish and publish some projects which have been somewhere “there” but remained unfinished. One of them is my autobiography, another virtual CD with my “rock-ed” or “blues-ed” arrangements of original melodies from the Codex Buranus, known under the name of “Carmina Burana” and to start another serial on the YouTube.
So, after finishing the Croatian version of my autobiography in August (which was published in very restrained number in September only for us; it could be purchased and printed “on demand” by sending an e-mail on ask@igorpomykalo.eu) today I shall upload to my Home Page the second named project of “C.B. XXI”, for free download as it is the case with all my other CD, musical and some textual projects.
In November, on my HP will appear the Croatian digital version of my autobiography together with a lot of additional material which will could be also used with the English version, coming out in December, the month at the end of which, (on 30th December) I shall celebrate my 80th birthday, in my beautiful hometown of Rijeka/ Fiume.
And the last novelty: on 26th of December starts my third serial on the YouTube, this time devoted to the Performance Practice of Early Music, seen through the eyes of a performer.
